Hong Kong, China, 04/22/2010 — Text 100 has appointed TT Yang to the role of Managing Director for China. Currently serving as Managing Consultant of Text 100 Shanghai, Yang will take over management of Text 100’s Beijing and Shanghai offices effective May 1, 2010.
“We have historically had separate management teams and operations for our Beijing and Shanghai offices,” said Rowan Benecke, Text 100 Regional Director for Asia Pacific. “However, it’s clear that a ‘One China’ leadership strategy will help us achieve new efficiencies and capitalize on our strengths in client service, talent development and growth of our operations across offices in China.”
Benecke expects a centralized leadership strategy in China will enable Text 100 to make better decisions faster, develop shared goals for business and career planning, and improve inter-office collaboration across account teams. This will result in delivering uniform and more efficient client services, while enhancing consulting skills and talent management in China.
TT Yang joined Text 100 in 2008 following more than a decade of public relations experience in China and Taiwan, including serving as Deputy Market Leader for Burson-Marsteller in Shanghai, and Director for Ogilvy Public Relations in Taipei.
“During the past two years at Text 100 Shanghai TT has developed a dynamic leadership style and creative focus on corporate communications and consumer branding programs that have helped transform our business in China,” Benecke said. “We are confident TT has the right set of skills, smarts, passion and courage to successfully lead our teams through the next phase of growth in China.”
Candice Young, current Managing Consultant of Text 100 Beijing, will leave the agency to pursue other opportunities after spending nearly six years working in China. She leaves the agency at the end of May, 2010.
“We are sorry to see Candice leave and thank her for all her contributions in Beijing, including leaving behind her a legacy of a professional discipline in business management, a stable and growing portfolio of marquee clients, and a reliable and committed team of local consultants,” said Benecke. “We are very grateful to Candice for her leadership and commitment to China and wish her all the very best in her new endeavours.
